Brief Overview:

Texas Instrument Innovation Lab is established at GLA University, Mathura under “TI University Program” in October 2018. The TI University Program is the intersection between TI technology, educators and the engineers of tomorrow. Established in 1982, the TI University Program is a global program dedicated to supporting educators, researchers and students in facilitating the inclusion of TI analog and embedded processing in engineering classrooms, teaching and research labs, textbooks, design projects and course curriculum.

Objectives:

  • TI labs aim to equip students with the practical skills and knowledge needed for industry careers by using TI boards and development tools.
  • TI labs provide training and support for faculty and students in using TI's technology. This includes access to various TI kits, software, and resources for learning and experimentation.
  • The training programs cover topics such as analog and embedded processing, IoT, and robotics, enabling students to develop their skills in these areas.
  • TI also supports research and development efforts by collaborating with universities to solve industry problems.
  • Students can use these tools to build their own projects, learn about different technologies, and apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
  • The goal is to make students "industry-ready" by enhancing their competency and providing them with a competitive edge.

Major tools/Hardware:

  • TI offers a wide range of development kits for various applications, such as those for DSP, robotics, and wireless connectivity.
  • The tools used in TI labs include the TI-Robotics-System-Learning-Kit, Tiva C series and MSP430 microcontrollers, and Analog System Lab Kit PRO.
  • Texas Instruments also provides a variety of sensors like as Temperature sensor, IR sensor, Ultrasonic sensor, gas sensor etc.
  • TI provides various software tools for programming microcontrollers, including CCS (Code Composer Studio) and other development platforms.
